About the Evaluator

Lisa Diaz, LICSW

Trauma-Informed & Culturally Competent

Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of professional experience providing trauma-informed clinical services to individuals and families in a variety of high-acuity and legally involved settings.

Her clinical background includes extensive work with survivors of domestic violence and gender-based violence through the YWCA of New Hampshire and Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where she conducted assessments and provided ongoing therapeutic support to individuals navigating complex trauma and safety-related concerns.

Lisa has also worked in a supportive and evaluative capacity with families involved with the Department of Children and Families, gaining experience in family systems, psychosocial stressors, and documentation relevant to legal and administrative proceedings.

She currently provides individual psychotherapy, with a clinical focus on trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, and the psychological impact of chronic stress and instability.

Her professional work has consistently centered on serving immigrants and non–U.S.-born individuals and families.

When presented with the opportunity to apply her clinical training to immigration psychological evaluations, she recognized this work as a meaningful extension of her commitment to culturally responsive, ethically sound clinical practice within legal contexts.

Lisa conducts immigration evaluations using a trauma-informed and culturally competent framework, with careful attention to clinical accuracy, documentation standards, and the legal relevance of psychological findings. Reports are prepared to support immigration-related petitions and proceedings by providing clear, thorough, and objective clinical assessments of psychological functioning and hardship, as appropriate to the case.
